What’s a commons?
The place where a community comes together.
For as long as there have been cities, there’s been a commons — a square, a market, a coffeehouse where people trade ideas, strike deals, and decide what happens next. It’s where a community’s real work gets done.
In 1686, that room was a London coffeehouse. Merchants and ship captains packed in to swap news and share risk — and out of it grew Lloyd’s of London. A world-changing marketplace, born from business people in a room, talking.
Every great community has had a commons. Most owners today don’t — you build in your own lane, and the few people who truly get the weight of it are scattered across the state. Utah’s owners deserve a commons of their own.
